Lucy Brandes Counselling and Consulting

#3 - 196 Osborne St. lucybrandescounselling.ca

“I'm a gay woman, a mom, a partner, a therapist, and a lover of people. And one of the things I love most is celebrating what it means to be truly, deeply, authentically ourselves.

I have special interest and passion for working with queer folx. And I love working with folx in various kinds of relationship structures (e.g. Ethical Non-Monogamy/Polyamory). My experiences and training have also given me unique insights for working with faith deconstruction, religious trauma, shifting worldviews, and spiritual practices. “

Wendy McNab

Unit 1 at 161 Stafford Street, Winnipeg MB wendy@waniska-cc.com 204-781-7230

I have been a long-time visitor here in Treaty One Territory. I’m a Cree/Saulteaux woman and call the following communities home: George Gordon, Cowessess and Peepeekiskis First Nations, in Saskatchewan. I am a Grandmother and mother to a son. My joy is international travel and summer months on the road visiting family and communities across Canada.

I have approximately ten years of experience working as a personal and academic counsellor and four years as a therapist for individuals, relationships and families. I obtained my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MMFT) from the University of Winnipeg, and am completing the Indigenized Art Therapy program at the Winnipeg Holistic Expressive Arts Therapy (WHEAT) Institute.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist I am uniquely equipped to see people as part of a context much larger than just themselves. I am especially interested in working with clients who struggle with uncertainty/fear of the unknown, creating healthy relationships with self and other, and making space for joy and fulfillment in ones life.

“We decided to go look at some old vintage hair equipment at what was Stano’s Coiffeurs. Upon coming into the space we fell in love with it. Vintage, retro and AMAZING. So what was talked about via text quickly took form in becoming our baby. What came next was some elbow grease and The Sapphire Hair Lounge quickly became what we envisioned.”
